Options for the protection of loads carried in the pickup truck bed.

For a larger and larger group of individual users, a pickup is a capacious family car, sometimes the second or third car in the family. Even if it was purchased to be used as intended (workhorse), we sometimes use it for private hobby purposes or family trips. Let’s imagine a few hypothetical, but so realistic, situations: a four-person trip for a few/several days, the transport of shopping, the transport of small tools which cannot be tossed into the cab. Everything that does not occupy the full truck bed and is not protected in a proper manner will move around when accelerating, braking or fast cornering. The problem can be solved with accessories which divide the truck bed or immobilise the loads. Here are a few good solutions:

Business Hold rails

Floor and side rails. As the names suggest, the first type is mounted to the floor and the latter to the truck bed sidewalls. They are made of aluminium, provided with profiled holes thanks to which the position of the eyelets, which the load securing straps are attached to, can be changed. The system secures loads of up to 300kg.

Flipt – truck bed organiser

A new product in Road Ranger’s offer. An alternative to the Multiramp. It has a number of applications – it can divide the truck bed into two parts to prevent loads from moving; it can be used to protect the extended load carried on the pickup when the tailgate is open; it can also be used as a seat or table. Flipt is made from an oval aluminium section and the support and fasteners are made of highly durable and UV-resistant polypropylene. Thanks to variable adjustment options, Flipt fits most pickup models. Flipt offered by Road Ranger is available in three colours: orange, black and white.

Cargo Manager

A very practical product which splits the truck bed into two parts, manufactured by Roll n Lock, i.e. the USA-based manufacturer of roll covers, one of the global leaders in the field of pickup roll covers. The advantage of the product is its easy installation and compatibility with the Roll n Lock roll covers. The Cargo Manager can be set in any position along the axis of the vehicle. It can also be placed horizontally so as not to disturb the transport of long items. The Cargo Manger can be quickly removed from the rails.

Multiramp

A robust product made of aluminium, which can be used as an access ramp (max. load capacity 320 kg) or as the protection of an extended load when the pickup tailgate is opened.

Sliding tray

It is the optimum combination of quick access with load securing possibilities. Trays manufactured by Road Ranger can withstand a load of up to 500 kg in the driving position and 250 kg in full extension. A very good solution so as not to jump onto the pickup truck bed to take a small part left near the vehicle cab or to secure the load with straps using the rails mounted at corners. The tray is mounted to the truck bed floor.
